Valentines 2017: 10 Date Ideas In and Out of The Metro.

T and I don't really celebrate Valentines Day (because for him, every day should be like Valentines Day ;)) but since it's always a good idea to do something nice with your special someone during the week of February 14, here are ten date ideas in and out of Metro Manila as an alternative to the usual dinner date.  And to all the single gents and ladies out there, you can also engage in these activities with your friends!  Bawal malungkot next week :P

1. Take painting lessons.

This is what T and I did for Valentines last year.  For more details, you can read my blog post about our 2016 Valentines date in Sip n Gogh.

2. Watch a romantic concert.

How can you go wrong with Lea Salonga?  The internationally known Broadway star will have a two-day concert called Lea Salonga's Songs From The Stage on February 17 and 18 at the PICC Plenary Hall.  Tickets are available at ticketworld.com.ph.

3. Learn how to cook.

There are a lot of cooking classes available in the Metro but if you're near Alabang, check out Feed 5000 Kitchen Studio by Chef Len Santos Ding.  I learned to make different Filipino dishes during one of her cooking sessions. Here I was panicking and Chef Len laughing, along with my classmates, while I was making sinigang.  For more information, visit facebook.com/Feed5000KitchenStudio.

4. Go hiking.

Masungi would be a good choice.  T and I went here early last year, which I have yet to blog about, but you need reservations before visiting.  Fortunately, there are other places you can go to for a hiking adventure like Mount Batulao or for the more adventurous ones, Mount Pulag.

5. Witness a fireworks display.

Fireworks always create a romantic ambiance and the best shows are from the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition.  The patron ticket comes with dinner and is priced at PhP1,500.  For more information, visit platinumfireworksinc.com.

6. Fly a plane.

This is still one of my favorite activities that I've done with T.   We did this as an anniversary date in 2015.  For more information, you can read my blog post about Ultralight Flying in Angeles, Pampanga.

7. Laugh in a comedy show.

If you're not the lovey dovey cheesy type of couple but who loves a laugh (like us!), check out the comedy show Extrajudicial Kidding starring Jon Santos, Kakai Bautista, and Rex Navarrete at Resorts World Manila this Wednesday, February 15.  To buy tickets, visit ticket world.com.ph.

8. Visit a trampoline park.

I had a bad accident in a trampoline park so I don't think I can do this again but just be mindful of your safety and this could be a fun date.  For more details, read my blog post about Our Trampoline Park Philippines Experience.

9. See a Broadway play.

I love everything Broadway and I would've probably bugged T to watch Wicked with me if I haven't seen it yet.  From February 14 to 17, you can buy a pair of Emerald seats for only PhP7,000.  That's such a steal because the original price of one Emerald ticket is PhP7,000!  For more information, visit ticketworld.com.ph.

10. Enroll in a flying trapeze class.

This is another fun activity I've done with T.  For couples who are into fitness (with a bit of adrenaline mixed in), you have to try this class.  For more details, read my blog post Flying Trapeze Philippines in Bonifacio Global City.

I hope these ideas helped you decide what to do next week :)  Have a great week ahead!
