Review of Huawei P9's Leica Camera.

Even before the advent of digital cameras and smartphones, I already love taking photos of food, landscapes, and everything in between.  I got it from my mom who documents everything, like our family trips, milestones in our lives, or even the most mundane things like eating out or going to the park.  As I grew older, I appreciated what she did for us even more because I have photos to remember those happy moments by.  It was more difficult then.. Cameras were bulky, not to mention we had to carry rolls of film and packs of batteries.  But now, it's so easy!  We always have our smartphone with us so we can just take pictures anytime.

That's why I was excited to snap photos using the new Huawei P9 smartphone because I learned that it co-engineered with Leica to come up with groundbreaking dual lenses!  I can't believe it.. Leica lenses in a smartphone! That is just wow.

And it just so happened that I had a workcation (work + vacation) the week I received my Huawei P9 so I brought it along to try it out.  Changing the way I see the world? Check!

I was amazed with how clear the photos turned out.  The colors are brilliant, the images are sharp.

Huawei P9's Leica lenses capture more light with two sensors, one RGB and one monochrome.  That's why I get amazing shots because of this amazing algorithm which intelligently combines the colors taken by the RGB sensor with the detail of the monochrome sensor.

Even the front camera is amazing!  With Huawei P9's 8-megapixel lens, selfies look like this even if taken against the light or under a low light setting.

I liked how the Huawei P9 photos turned out that I had to take it to my next trip to Baler.

Like I said, amazing right?  With Huawei P9's 12-megapixel main camera and 8-megapixel front camera, it's becoming my go-to photo taking device. It definitely reinvented smartphone photography.  If you like taking pictures and have no time to edit them, the Huawei P9 is a must buy.  No need to bring bulky SLRs to trips, concerts, or events anymore!
