What started as an inside joke between my family and friends became the tag line of this blog because I'd always try to lessen my eating but end up pigging out and declaring after that I'll start tomorrow. I know I'm not alone in this dilemma and we all know that "tomorrow" never comes :D
To be honest, I cannot diet for the life of me because my EQ is low when it comes to food. When I want something, I need to eat it. But then after seeing the yoyo effect of fad diets on other people, I realized that starving yourself doesn't really work. What is needed is a change in lifestyle and eating right. And since the hardest part in all of this is starting, you can try Gourmade by Chef Rob Lau's food delivery so you won't be hassled with figuring out your menu and preparing the dishes.
There are two kinds of menus: Skinny Down and Pescatarian. Skinny Down is for those who want to lose weight by eating portion controlled meals. Pescatarian works the same way too but it's for those who prefer only fish and vegetables. Each meal plan is for 5 days which includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks per day.
I've tried both Skinny Down and Pescatarian and I want to show you how yummy the dishes are because the usual feedback I hear from those who've tried other diet food delivery services is that the food is not that good or does not have any flavor.
Have you seen the new SM Woman? Even international fashion blogger Aimee Song of Song of Style wears SM Woman now! Last month, I was invited to a fashion show in SM Makati to preview the newest collection.
Most of us look forward to Fridays because it's the end of a stressful work week. Just in case you're in the area, reward yourself with a scrumptious buffet at Richmonde Cafe in Ortigas. And if you're dining in a group of 4 (and up), you can get 25% off the buffet price! Just mention the code J&M x RHO when you make a reservation.
Two weekends ago, T and I were invited by Nestle to their event at the Blue Leaf Events Place in Taguig. The invite just said "Create with Cream" so T and I didn't know what to expect. When we got there, we learned that we were all going to learn how to cook Creamy Chicken Adobo using Nestle All Purpose Cream. T and I have never tried that kind of adobo so we were excited to know how!
Inspired by life's sweetest moments, the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf launched new drinks that promise to take you to your happy place. Rain or shine, their three Ice Cream Ice Blended drinks will keep you smiling with every sip.
If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you might have seen my funny human claw machine and duck videos. The event I went to is called Oishi Snacktacular 2016 which is still on going until July 18 (that's tomorrow) at the Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia from 10am to 9pm. T and I went yesterday and Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Alex Gonzaga, Slater Young, and Ramon Bautista were also there. But don't worry, Maine Mendoza aka Yaya Dub will be there on Sunday!
If you follow me on Snapchat, you'll know that T and I are regulars are Sigekiya Ramen in Commercenter Alabang. They've recently just opened and to commemorate their 100th day in the Philippines, Sigekiya Ramen is giving everyone who dines on July 13 (that's today!), 100 pesos off for every order of ramen or tsukemen.
If any of you are from CDO, good news.. S&R is opening a branch there on July 28! Now you don't have to travel all the way to Manila to buy what you need. To sign up for a membership card, you can proceed to the temporary office of S&R at Zone 5, Barangay Kauswagan Butuan-CDO-Iligan Road.
I know I haven't been that active here in Joei & Me the past few months. I've only posted five times in May and even fewer in June. Work is always hectic, that's a given. So at the most, I can only have one extracurricular activity to add to my current schedule and that's already cutting it close. That activity is usually blogging. Any more and that would mean shorter time with T, which was not an option for me.
But when T's sister Michelle and I signed up for the Nike Half Marathon last May, most of my time was spent preparing for this. Looking back, I could have trained more but that was the most I could do with the campaign coinciding with my actual work. So I literally had no time for blogging.
