The New Cinemas and Wing of Evia Lifestyle Center in Vista City.

Like Alabang Town Center, I've seen Evia Lifestyle Center along Daang Hari grow.  During my first visit to the mall, there were only a few establishments open.  My favorite is Starbucks because it has a drive thru.   T and I also love the Shakey's branch there because of its old fashioned pizza parlor vibe.

On the way back to Alabang from Laguna one weekend, T and I passed through the MCtex because of the really bad traffic in SLEX.   While passing Evia, we saw the Joei & Me logo in one of the tarpaulins posted in front so we parked the car to check it out.  Since we were there anyway, T suggested that we explore the new wing of Evia Mall and we were surprised with what we saw.  The inside is similar to The Venetian in Las Vegas or Macao (read my blog post about our visit to The Venetian Macao)!  All of the stores are still closed but you can wander around and take pictures.

The cinemas are open already.  But so far, the only food concessionaires are Sbarro, Taters (my favorite!), and the cinema snack booth.

There are four cinemas in Evia.  Cinemas 1 is 2D/Mx4D.  It's not like the one in Bonifacio High Street (read my blog post about my first 4Dx experience) where you wear 3D glasses.  The screen is 2D but the chairs move in sync with the movie and you'll get to experience wind, water, and even scents.  Cinema 2 has La Z Boy chairs while Cinemas 3 and 4 are the 'normal' movie theaters with Dolby Atmos.  How much is it per person?  Here are the movie prices:

Cinema 1 - PhP450 per person
Cinema 2 - PhP395 per person
Cinemas 3 and 4 - PhP275 per person

I thought Cinema 2 comes with unlimited popcorn and drinks since you're seated in La Z Boy chairs similar to the movie theater in Resorts World.  But the girl at the counter said that the PhP395 price does NOT come with popcorn and drinks.  You are just paying for the La Z Boy chairs.

T and I are also excited for the other stores to open. We already have Cotton On in Alabang Town Center and H&M in Festival Mall and now Uniqlo in Evia!  I just need Forever 21 nearby and my life will be complete :D

  1. Nice interiors. Surely this place will be a hit. Sayang I'm from the North this there will be little chances of seeing the place.

    1. Hi! I'm not sure what more of transpo you can take but from Alabang Town Center, go straight along Commerce, the opposite way to Festival Mall, and then turn left at the end. That's Daang Hari already. Go straight again and you'll see Evia on your right :)

    1. It's hard to go to Southmall from Alabang. It takes half and hour to an hour because of traffic! :(
