Acacia Hotel (part 1): Staycation at the Executive Suite.

I usually travel a couple of times a year to unwind but given my schedule, it's just not possible anymore.  That's when I started to appreciate staycations because it's easier to plan and yet it still provides the same relaxing feeling that traveling gives me. So I was really happy when T and I were invited to stay at Acacia Hotel in Alabang.

Acacia Hotel is an independent Filipino hotel brand managed by Enderun Colleges.  It has been operating for only four years but has already won a number of awards from known travel websites such as Agoda and Trip Advisor.

The hotel is twenty minutes away from the airport and easily accessible through the Skyway and South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).  It is located along Commerce Avenue in Filinvest Corporate City and is near Festival Mall and Alabang Town Center, as well as churches and hospitals.  Hotel guests have access to free shuttle service within the Alabang commercial area.

The Executive Suite

Acacia Hotel has 261 guest rooms and T and I are given the Executive Suite which is built for long term staying guests because of its amenities such as a fully functional kitchen complete with stove, oven, and fridge.

Everything you need to cook are also provided.  There are kitchen tools, a rice cooker, pans...

...plates, silverware...

...as well as a teapot, teacups, glasses, and condiment servers.

This is the bedroom and the much-raved about Dream Bed-- a customized orthopedic bed with memory foam top.  It also has soft pillows and fluffy sheets, which is perfect because I spend most of my staycations catching up on sleep!

During our stay, a Pillow Concierge (yes, there's such a thing!) visits our room and introduces us to the different kinds of pillows available for use.  How cool is that??

The switches to the entrance and foyer lights, as well as to the Do Not Disturb and Make Up Room signs, are on the bedside table making it easily accessible.  No need to disturb our sleep and stand up just to switch off lights or switch on the Do Not Disturb sign.

Beside the bed is a closet which contains my favorite hotel luxuries-- bathrobes and bedroom slippers.  There is also a flat iron and an ironing board.

A digital weighing scale, for travelers who want to weigh their luggage or health-conscious people who want to weigh themselves, is likewise provided.

This is one of my favorite spots in the room because I like to catch up on my reading during staycations.  It's nicely positioned by the window so I get natural light while reading.  This is also where I have my free welcome massage which comes with our stay.

On one corner of the bedroom is the executive desk.  This is where T usually works while this is where I blog if I have the time (after catching up on my sleep and reading ;)).  Hotel guests also have access to free WiFi.

Beside the desk are the complimentary amenities such as coffee, water, and tea.  Above this is the 40-inch flat screen television set.

At the other corner is the breakfast nook where I find a sweet surprise from Acacia Hotel.  Thank you for this thoughtful gift :)

This is the bathroom.   There is a complete set of toiletries, as well as a magnifying mirror and hair dryer, which are often overlooked but important to us girls.

There's also a bathtub...

...and a shower with a rain shower head.

Gym and Swimming Pool

T and I don't go to the gym regularly but we usually do when we're on a staycation.  Baliktad!  We visit Acacia Hotel's gym which has treadmills, Integrity Club Series crosstrainers, Integrity CLSR Recumbent bike, Fit 3 Multi-gym, G7 Cable System, dumbbells, medicine balls, and free weights.

But even if you're not a hotel guest, you can use the facilities by being an Acacia Fit member.  Membership will entitle you to:

  • Unlimited access to the fitness center, swimming pool, and steam pool from Monday to Sunday, 6am to 10pm
  • One (1) Aromatherapy Massage for one (1) at Lurra Spa
  • 20% discount at Lurra Spa
  • Complimentary five (5) pieces of Bring a Friend vouchers which include access to the fitness center, swimming pool, and steam room
  • Two (2) vouchers for lunch or dinner buffet for two (2) at Acaci Restaurant

For inquiries, call (02) 720-2000 local 1850 or email membership@acaciahotelsmanila.com.

This is the swimming pool area which is located on the same floor as the gym.  There's a kiddie pool, a lap pool, and a jacuzzi.

After exploring for a bit, T and I go back to our Executive Suite and find more sweet surprises.

Thank you Acacia Hotel!

And to celebrate its 4th anniversary, Acacia Hotel has a special for their Acacia Suite, which is a 148,50 square meter suite with facilities that include two bedrooms, two dining rooms, a living room, and outdoor patios.    It's only PhP19,988 per night including buffet breakfast and set dinner for four.  What a deal!  Hurry because this is limited only to the first 20 bookings!
