Breakfast at Antonio's Tagaytay.

It's quite unfortunate that I had the flu during the wedding of our friends Edward dela Rosa and Enggay Vicente but missing it was not an option.   So we booked a room at Chateau Royale, where the reception was, to allow me to rest when I feel like I couldn't keep up with the festivities anymore.

The next day, T and I have brunch in Breakfast at Antonio's before heading back to Manila.

Breakfast at Antonio's is an old favorite of mine.   My high school friends and I would spend our summer breaks in their homes in Canyon Woods or Tagaytay Highlands then have brunch here. The restaurant has transferred from one place to another since then but, if I'm not mistaken, it is now back to its original location.

The front area of the new Breakfast at Antonio's has a store that sells different items from fresh produce and salad dressings to pastries and desserts.

T and I are so hungry and order a feast good for five to six people!

I order a Quatro Formaggi Omelette (PhP430/$9.77+10%SC) which has American Cheddar, Gruyere, Mozzarella, and Bleu D'Auvergne. This is good!  It's a bit heavy though since three eggs are used to make the omelette plus it comes with house made toast and hash browns.

As if the omelette isn't enough, I order a Banana Pecan Pancake (PhP230/$5.45+10%SC) with roasted pecans and slices of banana, drizzled with caramel sauce.  Yummy!

T also gets his own Housemade Corned Beef and Swiss Cheese Omelette (PhP400/$9.10+10%SC) which has sliced corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese.

He also orders an Antonio House Burger (PhP385/$8.75+10%SC) and adds Swiss cheese (PhP95), housemade bacon (PhP95), and a sunny side up egg (PhP35).

For our drinks, T gets an Iced Coffee (PhP120/$2.72+10%SC) while I have Refillable Brewed Coffee (PhP180/$4.10+10%SC).    I don't have a photo of my coffee because our server forgot to order it and by the time I get my cup, I just want to drink it.

After eating, we go to the back of the restaurant and enjoy the sun.  Oh Sundays, how I love thee!

Just a little trivia.. Chef Tony Boy Escalante, the owner of the Antonio's group of restaurants is a ninong (principal sponsor) during the wedding we attended because the bride's father, Boy Vicente, designed Antonio's.

Have a great weekend everyone! TGIF :)

Thumbs Up!
Good food.
Big servings, good for sharing.
Great ambiance.

Thumbs Down!
Nothing really except that it could get really full on weekends.
Oh, and our server forgot to order my brewed coffee.

Verdict
T and I love the Antonio's group of restaurants and will definitely be back!
