Highlights of My Bali Birthday Trip 2015.

I realized that it takes a while for me to write about my travels for two reasons: First, I snap so many pictures and uploading all of them is such a pain because the Philippines' internet speed is so slow.. Then I still have to go through all of the photos and choose which ones to use for my post.  Second, I'm very particular with information because Joei & Me is my diary. This is where I, as well as T and my friends, relive fun memories so documenting every moment with as much detail as possible is a must.  Just recently, a really good friend of mine (Hi Ara Sam!) messaged me when she was having a bad day and told me that she was going through my blog posts about our Hong Kong Trip last year to brighten up her mood.

The downside to this, however, is that I don't get to complete my travel posts or don't get to write about them at all!  As a fail safe, I end up microblogging on my Instagram account (@joeiandme) just so I have something to remind me of the trip.  Yesterday, I checked my to-write list and drafts folder and found out that I still have pending posts about Boracay (specifically our stay in Discovery Shores and Shangri-La Boracay and our favorite restaurants and cafes on the island), Bellarocca, Cagayan De Oro, Bukidnon, Batanes, California, Alaska, Pico de Loro, and Sicogon Island.

With just those alone, I don't know where to start.  And now, there's another addition to the list... My birthday trip to Bali!   It's actually an early celebration because T and I won't be together on my birthday.  I chose the destination randomly as I have not seen or read anything related to Bali before T and I decided to travel. The upside is that I found myself enjoying the planning stage for trips again (which I lost somewhere along the way) and researched everything from scratch.  Special thanks to Kat Rances, Patty Laurel, and Alma Tanwangco for sharing information about Bali with me :)

I always have fun when traveling but this one is for the books!!! T and I can't stop talking about Bali with each other or with family or friends who ask us about it.  And it's been a while since we've had a 'hangover' after a trip.  We were in Bali for a quite a while, with each day filled with lots of activities, and yet we still felt like extending our stay.

Going back to what I was saying earlier.. My fear is that with a trip like this, I'd be even more particular with the details and end up not being able to blog about it at all.  So, following the advice of Patty Cuyugan, I'll just post highlights first and then blog about it in detail later.  And even if I don't get to do so, at least I already have an entry about the trip ;)

With that, here are my favorite photos from my Bali Birthday Trip this year!

It's all about pineapples, palm tress, and flamingos (and unicorns) for this trip!

Veloci All White Party at The Palace Pool Club Manila.

Italian-inspired watch brand Veloci made a splash as it launched its newest watches with an all-white pool party and fashion show at The Palace Pool Club in Bonifacio Global City.

Breakfast at Antonio's Tagaytay.

It's quite unfortunate that I had the flu during the wedding of our friends Edward dela Rosa and Enggay Vicente but missing it was not an option.   So we booked a room at Chateau Royale, where the reception was, to allow me to rest when I feel like I couldn't keep up with the festivities anymore.

The next day, T and I have brunch in Breakfast at Antonio's before heading back to Manila.

McDonald's Summer Dessert Line Up: McFlurry Oreo, McFlurry Sans Rival, Apple Pie Ala Mode, and Apple Kiwi Surprise McFloat.

Since it is so hot nowadays, sweet and refreshing treats are the best way too cool us down.  Have you tried McDonald's mouthwatering desserts for the summer?

Headlining the line up is the classic favorite McFlurry with Oreo.. Now with twice as many Oreo chunks!  Yup, that's right.  TWO TIMES more chunky and chocolatey Oreo cookies in delicious soft serve.

The Block Party at the Makiling Park in Ayala Alabang.

Like what the prince's kiss is to Sleeping Beauty, the Brush Lettering Workshop of Anina Rubio (read my blog post about Crafternoons PH) woke up the right side of my brain..  I've been scribbling and drawing non-stop since then.  So when my friend Patty of mrspcuyugan.com asked me if I want to tag along to The Block Party, which is just in our village, I immediately said yes!

Crafternoons PH's Brush Lettering with Anina Rubio.

I've always been into arts and music but given my educational background (business/corporate) and current profession (law), I don't get to do anything related to it at all.. Which is why I was ecstatic when my friends Patty Cuyugan of mrspcuyugan.com and Mish Aventajado of mommanmanila.com invited me to Crafternoons PH's Brush Lettering Workshop with Anina Rubio at Neil's Kitchen in Westgate Alabang.
