The Suites at Mount Malarayat Golf and Country Club.

I think this is the longest I have gone without feeling the sun's rays on my skin and the sand under my feet.   Aside from lack of time, I also don't have the energy to plan trips anymore so T and I rarely go on a vacation unless it's a staycation.

Fortunately, our friend had his wedding at a family farm in Batangas.  So T and I booked a suite at  nearby Mount Malarayat Golf and Country Club.

It's a beautiful day for a road trip.  The sun is up, the sky is blue.  Here are some of the shots T took using his iPhone 6.  He's getting good at this ;)

There are several room options in Mount Malarayat Golf and Country Club.

I reserved a room at the Narra Suites which is by the pool and walking distance from the main building.  But as luck would have it, we are upgraded to... I actually don't know what this option is called because I didn't see it in their website but it's more convenient because the room upgrade is located in the main building itself.

Aside from the Narra Suites, there are also the Tanguile Suites and the Narra Suites.  In case you're thinking of booking a room at the Kaimito Suites because it's cheaper, be guided that this is not within the compound of Mount Malarayat Golf and Country Club but further down the highway.

For the room rates, I suggest calling Mount Malarayat to inquire because the rates T and I got are discounted because of the wedding.  I posted their contact info at the end of this post.

This is how our hotel room looks like.  It's clean and very spacious.  The linens and pillows are white and soft.   There is also a mini balcony because our room is on the ground floor.

There is a dresser table, a closet, a fridge, and TV with cable.

There's also complimentary water, coffee, tea, and a water kettle.

The bathroom has a shower and a bathtub but I forgot to take a photo of it.   Basic toiletries are provided such as shampoo, soap, and toothbrushes with little tubes of toothpaste.

Stitch (I have two versions.. the naughty Stitch and the nice Stitch) has been my travel buddy for years but in my recent trips, I've forgotten to bring it along.  This time, I didn't forget.

After dropping off our things, T and I head to the Juban Farm for Pox and Mela's wedding aka Melox Ever After.    What a lovely wedding!

This is my favorite photo of the couple taken by T during the fireworks display.

The next morning, T and I go to the main hall for breakfast, which is included in our overnight stay.  Even those checked in at the Kaimito Suites have to go to the main hall (by car, too far to walk) for their meals.

There are several options for breakfast.  T got Fried Bangus while I got Longganisa.  Both dishes come with egg, rice, and atchara (pickled vegetables), as well as brewed coffee.

I choose a table near the window because I want to feel the sun's rays even if we are seated inside.

After eating, T and I go around to explore.   I think it's time to get the rusty golf set out again.  Just look at this view!  But seriously, I want to take lessons again.

To actually be able to just sleep in and do trivial things like read a book or play games on my iPad... Love love love :) This quick getaway is just what I need!

Thumbs Up!
Clean hotel room and bathroom.
Peaceful and quiet at night.
Scenic golf course.

Thumbs Down!
Nothing really.

T and I would probably stay here if we find ourselves in the area again.
