F1 Hotel Manila (part 1): Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve Buffet Offerings.

Like I mentioned in a previous post, I love staycations because they are the next best thing to out-of-town vacations and involve less planning or coordination.  Which is why T and I are thankful to get another staycation invitation, this time to F1 Hotel Manila in Bonifacio Global City through KTG's main guy Spanky Enriquez and the fab Mama Jane

T had to do something that morning so I hitch a ride with Patty and her family to Fort.  We are welcomed in the Premier Lounge by Spanky and the rest of the F1 Hotel Manila family.

This is actually my first taste of trick or treat this year as we have a mini Halloween party complete with The Green Lantern and The Hulk cookies.    It's a quick fun get together with kids competing for candies and other giveaways during the games.

Now that Halloween is over, the next big celebration is Christmas and New Year's Eve!  Lucky us, we get to be the first ones to try F1 Hotel's Special Christmas and New Year's Eve Lunch and Dinner Buffet which will be served at F All Day Dining Restaurant on December 24, 25, 30, 2014 and January 1, 2015.

The special buffet costs P1,999 ($44.50++) per person and is inclusive of a glass of wine, except for the special dinner buffet on December 31 which costs P2,999 ($66.66++) and is also inclusive of a glass of wine plus one New Year's Countdown Party ticket.

There are masses for Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve on December 24 and 31, respectively, both at 5:00pm to be held in the hotel's Titanium Function Room.  Harmonious Christmas carols from well-renowned choirs in the metro will fill F All Day Dining Restaurant from 6pm to 9pm daily starting December 16 until December 23.

Ready to see the spread?

The starters are all in one table separate from the main buffet area.  There are different kind of salads, cold appetizers, sashimis, makis, and steamed shrimps (one of my must haves in buffets).

Even if I wanted to taste this dish, I didn't want to be the first one to touch it because I might ruin the presentation.  So nice!

At the very start of the main buffet table is the Cheese Platter.   I get slices of each kind because I love, love, love cheese.

Beside the platter are crackers and several dips.

Next in line are the main dishes such as Potato Dauphinoise, Roasted Salmon with Orange and Rosemary Beurre Blanc (I like this!), Beef Morcon, Chicken Galantina, Glazed Ham with Pineapple, Cherries, and Candied Fruits, and Lamb Caldereta.

Separate from the buffet, you can buy a whole boneless Chicken Galantina for P1,980 ($44++) for your Christmas parties.

Then comes the highlight of the buffet... Stuffed Turkey!

Here are the carvers ready to give you slices of stuffed turkey.

After the turkey are still more main dishes.. Chili Crabs (love this), Buttered Vegetables, Grilled Vegetable Lasagna, and Paella.  My gosh.  Lasagna and paella.  Carbo-loading it is!

There is also a pan full of Prawn Tempura and Lumpiang Shanghai.

And now the most awaited part... Dessert!

I'm happy to see two of my favorite desserts.. Cream Puff and Black Forest cake.

It's nice that they have a whole section devoted to Churros and Hot Chocolate!

Opposite that is the Halo-Halo section.

I have been bugging T that whole week to find hot chocolate that tastes like the one I tried in Baguio (read my blog post about Chocolate de Batirol) and finally I get to have it here in F1 Hotel!

Beside the Churros and Hot Chocolate section are marshmallows and cookies for the Chocolate Fondue.  What I like about F1 Hotel's version is that even if the chocolate doesn't go through a fountain, it's smooth and glides well onto the marshmallows and cookies.

For those who are not that into sweets and just want something to end their meal, here's some Bread  Pudding for you :)

From food coma, I get the sugar rush with all these goodies plus coffee and hot chocolate and expect the massive sugar crash later.

Luckily, I have a room upstairs where I can take a nap.  I guess my plans to go to the gym can be put aside for now.
