Staycation at Crimson Hotel Alabang.

After a really long week, we all need to rest.  I used to love going out of town but that entails a lot of planning and preparation, which my brain can't handle anymore with all the work it's been doing.  So the next best thing? Staycations!

Which is why I am grateful to be invited to a staycation at Crimson Hotel in Filinvest Alabang.

Checking in is a breeze.  No fuss, no hassle.  I don't take this for granted because some hotels or resorts make this simple process a difficult one.

Crimson Hotel Alabang has 325 guest rooms and 20 suites and has been named as a winner in TripAdvisor's Travelers' Choice awards under the "Luxury" category this year.

Executive Room

I am given an Executive Room which is 39 square meters in size and decorated in champagne and earth colors.  It's usually the corner room on the floor where it's at.   For room availability and rates, click HERE

In front of the bed is the office desk and a 40 inch LED television set with DVD player.  The TV has a USB port so I could plug my hard drive on it and watch my shows.

Located near the door are packets of coffee and tea, as well as a water heater and cups.

The room has this sort-of living room where I find a fruit bowl and a welcome note.  How thoughtful!

The bathroom is huge!  It looks like I'm doing a handfie (speaking of which, join my latest giveaway HERE)  but I'm putting up my hand in the photo so you can see how big the space is behind me.

I like the black and white tiles and the large rainshower head.

Essential toiletries are provided such as toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and conditioner.

The Executive Lounge

Guests who are booked in an Executive Room have access to The Executive Lounge located at the top floor of the hotel.  It's the perfect place to relax and unwind, especially for afternoon tea or evening cocktails.

The lounge is comfortable and quiet enough so I am able to get some work done before my staycation officially starts.

With the fab Mama Jane.. Thank you for arranging this!! :*

There are unlimited drinks, including alcohol and wine, so kids are not allowed in the lounge.

There's a mini 'buffet' of different appetizers like Watermelon with Feta Cheese, Smoked Salmon topped with Cream Cheese, and Spanish Sardine Tarts.

T and I both love these Cream Cheese balls.  It's like heaven in every bite! We can't stop eating them even though we should leave space in our stomachs for dinner.

Also served in the Executive Lounge are yummy hot pica-picas like Vegetable Samosas, Beef Kebabs, Penne Pasta, and Chicken Teriyaki.

For the healthy eaters, they serve different kinds of fruits like kiwi, grapes, watermelon, and whole apples.

For queso lovers like me, there is a cheese platter complete with dried fruits and nuts.

This is where T and I watched the first DLSU vs FEU game while waiting for Cafe Eight to open for dinner.

Oh and did I mention the best part?  All of this is free!  It comes with your access to the Executive Lounge.  Cool huh?

Cafe Eight

Cafe Eight is Crimson Hotel's main restaurant.  T and I have dined here twice before.  First was before going home from the wake of a friend's dad and second was during our anniversary.

Cafe Eight is where guests will have the buffet breakfast included with the stay.  The fare is a mix of Filipino and American dishes such as bacon, omelette, tocino, bangus, beef tapa, hotdogs, and arroz caldo.

My stomach is still asleep during breakfast so usually brewed coffee will do.  But no matter what time of day, I will always go for cheese, bread, and pastries.

I especially like how Crimson Hotel serves different types of breads and pastries for breakfast.

T and I are not able to have dinner on the day we are supposed to because it's the birthday party of T's dad.  But Crimson Hotel is nice enough to let us try their buffet on the day we check out.

Cafe Eight offers contemporary international buffet with Mediterranean flare inspired by cuisines from Southern Europe and Middle Eastern regions.  But during the week of our stay, there is a special Mexican buffet called Sabores de Mexico.

In keeping with the theme, I wear a Mexican print cover up for dinner :D

The Mexican Festival has already ended but here are the sections that will still be available in Crimson Hotel's regular buffets like bread, cold cuts, and cheese.

Of course, there's a salad station.

And a Japanese section with different types of makis and sashimis.

I like hotel buffets that allow us to customize our pasta, from the noodles to the toppings.

For dessert, there's a crepe station, an ice cream bar, and the main dessert table.

The Lobby Lounge

The Lobby Lounge is another place where guests can have dessert and coffee or appetizers and wine.  It is located at, well, the lobby where guests check in.

Fitness Center

With all that eating, I should've brought gym clothes (yeah right!) and used Crimson Hotel's Fitness Center.    It opens as early as 6:00am and closes at 9:00pm.  But upon request, you can use the gym any time of day, even before opening or after closing times.

It is fully equipped with cardio and strength machines.  Plus, there are certified gym instructors who can guide you with your workout.

Pastry and Sandwich Corner

There's a deli shop by the pool area which offers delicatessen, breads, pastries, wines, chocolates and gift items.

Coffee drinkers, do you agree with this sign?

The Deck Bar and Pool Area

The Deck Bar is an open-air dining cocktail bar which serves a la carte dishes, specialty drinks, wines, and spirits.

The bar is located by the pool area.  I like how there are separate pools for adults and children so you can swim laps without having to worry about children that you may bump into while doing so.

Unlike other hotels I've stayed in, Crimson Hotel's pool area is very spacious.  It's the perfect place to relax after breakfast or in the afternoon.  Even if there are a lot of guests checked in, you'll never feel like the area is crowded.

Another plus for me are the pieces of Dedon furniture.   My favorite are these odd-shaped chairs.

This is where I spend the whole afternoon working, blogging, and catching up on our book club's book of the month.

I really want this piece of furniture!  It's the perfect reading nook.

Thank you so much Crimson Hotel, Twinkle Lacsamana, and Karina for this much needed staycation!

Always fun with the ABC (Mish, Jane, Patty) girls + K!
