I remember that there used to be a Baskin Robbins in Alabang Town Center opposite Gourmet's. I love Gourmet's make-your-own-salad section where you're charged per weight and their Chicken ala Kiev so we ate there often and then after, we'd have ice cream in Baskin Robbins because my little sister was obsessed with it. But when Alabang Town Center began developing other parts of the mall, the area of Gourmet's and Baskin Robbins was forgotten, and the two left their spots much to our dismay.
But good news to all of us who missed it, Baskin Robbins is back!
I was supposed to go to a Vitress event that day but traffic was so bad and I wasn't able to make it. So hungry hippos me and T just decided to have late dinner in Casa Marcos (read my blog post about Casa Marcos Restobar). We ate so much but wanted something sweet so T suggested that we make space in our stomachs by walking to Central Square and get Baskin Robbins. I happily obliged because: 1) my pedometer indicated I still needed steps that day to reach my goal; and 2) I was wearing sneakers.
And since I'm wearing sneakers... It's OOTD Time! My black top is from Forever 21. I wore a Mimi skirt underneath since the top goes really high up in front and then really long (ala cape) at the back. I'm wearing gold sneaker wedges from Nike which T got from Titan 22. You can't see it that much but my bag is a midnight blue leather bag from Michael Kors.
If you're wondering what the print of my top is, the small details you see on it are actually gold leopard head charms.
Where exactly is Baskin Robbins? It's on the upper ground floor of the building where the Bonifacio High Street cinemas are (read my blog post about my first 4DX experience).
There were so many people when we got there. I guess the hype hasn't gone down yet. Random thought: Whenever I take photos of a crowd, there's always one person who looks at the camera and projects.
Baskin Robbins serves 31 flavors, one for each day of the month.
Here are the prices of Baskin Robbins' ice cream scoops and sundaes.
T and I both got double junior scoops (P145/$3.25 for a double junior scoop). I had a junior scoop of Cotton Candy, which tasted like, well, cotton candy. And also a junior scoop of Love Potion #31, which is a mixture of white chocolate flavored ice cream and raspberry ice cream with raspberry ribbon, chocolate chips, and raspberry-filled chocolate flavored hearts. I love the combination of the two!
T got a junior scoop of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, which is vanilla flavored ice cream with cookie dough and chocolate flavored chips and a junior scoop of World's Best Chocolate, which is rich white chocolate flavored mousse ice cream swirls with even richer milk chocolate flavored mousse ice cream.
It's still the same ol' Baskin Robbins that we love.
They have only a few tables for those who want to stay.
T and I will definitely be back!
