...continued from Hong Kong (part 5): Ramen Iroha and Hello Kitty
As luck would have it, the world premiere of Transformers 4: Age of Extinction is during the same week that we're in Hong Kong. We heard that Optimus Prime arrived the same day we did so we decided to go look for him. Before we started on our quest to find him, Gene suggested that we first buy drinks at Hui Lau Shan.
If there's one thing I got addicted to in Hong Kong, it's the mango drink from this place. Hui Lau Shan is along the street where Butterfly at Prat is located so I could just walk to buy a drink whenever I crave for it.
I always get A1 from the Mango and Mango Juice Series which has mango jelly as its base. It's not really a street food kind of thing because each drink is priced at HKD38 ($5) and that's not cheap.
One thumbs down for this place is the rude sales person. One night, she wouldn't let us dine in because the store is closing so we told her that "take away" is fine. While waiting for our drinks, Ara and I sat at one of the tables but she shooed us away. Literally, shooed us. Crazy :D
But despite that weird experience, thank you for introducing me to this Gene! Augh, I'm actually craving for it right now.
After we got our drinks, we all researched and learned that Optimus Prime is in the Ocean Terminal. Since the place is just a few blocks away from our hotel, we decided to walk. On the way there, we passed the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower which looked a bit creepy against the reddish night sky.
From the harbor, you can get a nice view of the Hong Kong skyline, especially at night.
After walking around a bit, we finally saw him. Optimus Prime! Wow. Wow. Wow.
