Ramen Nagi in SM Aura.

After my excruciating 4DX experience (read my blog post about Edge of Tomorrow) when I threw up everything I ate, T and I went to SM Aura for dinner.  Since I'm not really hungry and my stomach is still upset, I just want something warm like ramen from Ramen Nagi.

Ramen Nagi is a famous franchise from Japan brought to the Philippines by ramen master Ikuta Satoshi.

There is always so many people in Ramen Nagi so never go during lunch or dinner rush.  At the reception area is a nice lady who is patient with everyone and goes an extra mile to offer me an extra chair inside when she saw me having difficulty eating while holding my bags.  Thank you!

Almost all of the chairs and tables are close together so you'll probably share a table with strangers.

Our server gave me and T each a piece of paper to write our orders in.   We both got the Butao King (P390/$8.66+SC) and customized it to our liking.

This is the Original King Butao (P390/$8.66), a luscious tonkatsu pork-broth prepared in the traditional method, mouthwateringly rich, fresh and aromatic, special handcrafted noodles and classic Nagi pork chase.  The ramen is just ok.  Nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary.  T liked the noodles but I prefer it to be softer.  Also, I find it too salty for a "normal" ramen.

You can request for a bib so you won't mess up your clothes while slurping on your ramen broth.

We also ordered Gyoza (P190/$4.22+SC) which has juicy meat and vegetables seasoned with a special Japanese powder, wrapped in dough and served on an iron sizzling plate for that perfect crisp.

On our table are condiments such as kimchi tasting bean sprouts which people add to make their ramens more spicy and cloves of garlic for more flavor.

 Now you see it...

Now you don't.

Thumbs Up!
Good service despite the volume of people.
Customizable ramen.
T liked the noodles but I wanted it to be softer.

Thumbs Down!
Limited seating so you'll end up waiting for a while.
Too salty for a "normal" ramen.

Verdict
T and I still like Ramen Yushoken best and Ukkokei Ramen Ron next but we will come back to Ramen Nagi if we are in the area.
