Some of you have already called my attention to this. My photo host changed their system so most of the photos from my older blog posts seem to have disappeared. I'll try to fix it ASAP. Sorry about that!

The Lobby at the Manila Peninsula Hotel.

My other blog post on the Lobby at the Manila Peninsula:
Ara's Birthday (part 2): Dessert at The Lobby at the Manila Peninsula.
-----------------------------

You had dinner with your friends and the restaurant's about to close.  You still want to hang out but you don't really feel like clubbing nor going to a Starbucks.  By that time, everything's closed.  So where do you go?  We've had this dilemma one too many times and realized there aren't too many good 24 hour places in Metro Manila.  There are only a few that I know of and one of them is The Lobby at Manila Peninsula Hotel.

Our newly-engaged friend Cara del Rosario ordered Irish with Bailey's from the Fondue Selection (P480/$11.50) which is velvety dark chocolate blended with Irish Bailey's cream to give that extra kick.  All fondues come with a plate of assorted seasonal fruits, dark and white sponge cake, marshmallows and chocolate cigars for dipping.

They served the Bailey's separately so we had to ask for a bowl for this.

Dessert would be perfect with coffee but I got Chamomile Tea instead because it was late and still had plans of sleeping.

It was mostly me and Cara who ate the fondue but she felt that it was bitin and ordered Sticky Date Toffee Pudding with vanilla ice cream and warm rich toffee sauce (P350/$7.50).

In previous visits, I also tried their food.  Good when you're craving breakfast food and it's only like 2 or 3am ;)

Thumbs Up!
Good food and dessert place open 24 hours.
Ambiance.

Thumbs Down!
Servers not that attentive.

Verdict
Will go here again if we want to eat somewhere nice late at night when all places are probably closed already.

Love this hotel. It's a cozy place near shopping areas and the like. Plus the food's great too. =)
