Nanbantei of Tokyo.

I've been posting a lot of travel entries lately because of this travel writing class that I took.  But I think it's time for more food posts again.  What do you think? :)

When on the way to watch a movie in Greenbelt, T and I would always pass this small, almost obscure, but always full Japanese restaurant called Nanbantei of Tokyo.

According to Nanbantei's website, Nanban means foreigner and Tei means rest house or tea house.  Putting together these two words then means "a place where guests can unwind and have something to eat or drink after a long day of work."   Check out their menu HERE.

T ordered Sake Sashimi (P190/$4.75) for me since I love salmon.

Then he got Spicy Tuna Maki (P185/$4.60) since he loves tuna.  Both are good and you can taste that the fish they used is fresh.

They claim to have the best Ebi Tempura (P345/$8.50).  It is good but I can't say it's the best.

We also had the Negima (P100/$2.50) which is a combination of chicken meat and leeks.  I like this.  And the price is just right.

Nanbantei of Tokyo recently opened another restaurant in Bonifacio Global City in Fort but T and I haven't been to that branch yet.

Thumbs Up!
Cozy.
Reasonable prices for good Japanese food.

Thumbs Down!
Nothing really.

Verdict
Not really THE best in our book but good Japanese food always warrants a second visit for me and T!
