Ramen Yushoken in Molito Alabang.

For some reason, ramen have really hit it big in the Philippines lately.   The famous one being Ukkokei in Makati, which T and I have yet to visit.   But before that, here's a peek at a new ramen place at the Molito Arcade in Alabang --- Ramen Yushoken.

Ramen Yushoken is beside Omakase, another good Japanese restaurant in the area and one of our favorites!  Will post an entry about it soon.

I'm glad T and I got to eat here early April because whenever we pass by the place now, there's always a line!

Upon entering, the first thing you'll see on your right is the kitchen where they make the noodles.

There's also a bar area where you can eat in case you're alone, just like in other noodle places (read my blog post about Lucky Noodles in Solaire).

This is Ramen Yushoken's menu.  Simple.  But take note, more often than not, the simplest menus offer the best dishes.

While I was busy on the phone, T got me the Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen (P350/$8.50) which the server said was their bestseller.  I usually leave nothing on my plate but because my mind was elsewhere, I wasn't able to finish this.

T got the Tantan-Men Tonkotsu Ramen (P380/$9.50).  I actually liked this more than my ramen, probably because my taste buds were looking for something a bit flavorful that evening.

T also got Gyoza (P150/$3.75), another staple of ours.

To preserve quality control, Ramen Yushoken will not allow you to take home their ramens.  So, sayang my ramen since I wasn't able to finish it.  I want to go back one of these days!!

Thumbs Up!
Nice ambiance
Friendly servers

Thumbs Down!
Can't think of anything.

I want to visit Ramen Yushoken again when my mind is free of stress and worries.  I'm pretty sure their ramen is good.  It was me who wasn't such in a good mood that day :D

  1. hi,
a bit off the ramen story but do you know of a place where they serve fresh oysters?

  2. I'm not much of a ramen person, but I enjoyed naman when I ate there with my family. You should try their karaage too. It's really good, and it matches their chahan perfectly!

  3. My friend and I were talking about this place last week. I do hope they'll open a branch near us. :D

  4. ANON. Are you looking for one in the Alabang area? And what type of place? Casual, fine dining? :)

PATTY. Me too. I enjoy ramen once ina while especially when it's raining.

MICHYMICHYMOO. I hope they do, too! :)

  5. thumbs down for not having gift checks for sale. I wanted to give it as a christmas present but can't. :(
