Moshi Koshi Noodle Boss.

After the Nike We Run Manila 10K race, I told T I needed comfort food for my aching joints.

To us, this means Japanese food. So we went to this ramen place along Shaw Boulevard called Moshi Koshi Noodle Boss.

Any Japanese readers out there who can tell me what this means?

T asked the cashier what their best sellers for ramen were. She suggested Miso and Shio Butter Corn. We got the latter and split it into two.

Choosing what to order was made easy with the gigantic menu on the wall beside the cashier.

It was still a bit early for dinner so we were the only ones there.

Their placemats have some pretty interesting facts and a quick guide. I never knew you had to eat ramen within 5-7 minutes to truly enjoy it. Good thing T and I eat fast.

This is the Shio Butter Corn Ramen (P210/$6), split into two. It wasn't that hot though when it was served to us so we easily ate it in 7 minutes.

We both also wanted something else to eat besides the ramen so T chose from the Donburi selection and ordered the Katsudon (P180/$4.50). This is really good.

We also got 5 pieces of Ebi Tempura (P55/$1.50 per piece). It can also be ordered as a set with 3 pieces tempura, rice, and miso soup (P205/$7).

For dessert, I ordered Coffee Ice Cream (P65/$1.60). I know I'm supposed to cut on sugar but I thought of treating myself today after the 10K run this morning :)

Thumbs Up!
Friendly staff.
Affordable prices.

Thumbs Down!
Nothing really except that it's far from us.

Verdict
We will probably eat here again if we're in the area.

  2. I've eaten here too and I found it just okay. I mean, it's good food, but it offered me nothing new.

Anyway, I'm not sure...but after reading your bio for a bit (stalker-tendencies), I think you're the same Joei I used to bloghop with way back in 2000-something! I blogged as ablosh back then in my blogspot diary of sorts. If this is you (and I think it is), wow...and hello! :D
