TWG Tea Company Now in the Philippines!

My other blog post on TWG Tea Philippines:
TWG Tea Salon Now Open in Resorts World Manila

I got excited when I saw a TWG Tea Company poster announcing that they opened a branch in Manila. I'm a coffee person as much as I am a tea person. I know, I know. I see eyebrows raising from both caffeine junkies and tea fanatics (because it's like saying I'm a hip-hopper and yet a rocker as well) but it's true! I love them both so much. I drink coffee every day before going to work and tea every night before going to sleep.

When T first saw the store, the line was so long. You see those red rope thingies? But lucky for us, there weren't much people before closing so we got to go inside without waiting.

TWG stands for The Wellness Group and is a company from Singapore. Their claim to fame is that their "the finest luxury tea brand in the world".

There was so much tea everywhere! I didn't know where to start. Good thing, a tea specialist named Niño approached us and offered his help.

Niño was so helpful in explaining to me and T the different kinds of teas that they sell. I told him I liked Earl Grey a lot so he pulled out different Earl Grey variants and liked Breakfast Earl Grey the most. There's also Earl Grey Theine-Free. Niño explained to us that 'theine' is to tea like how 'caffeine' is to coffee. Interesting.

And then T asked, which at first he thought was a stupid question, if there was tea with this so-and-so effect (I forgot the adjective T used). I laughed but then Niño pulled out something called Hynopsis Tea which was what T was looking for. So it wasn't a crazy question after all.

Two other tea specialists, Grace and Kert, answered more of our endless queries. I told them jokingly that I bet they had something named Lover's Tea or Lucky Tea. Lo and behold, they do have teas named as such. I honestly didn't expect it. TWG really has everything!

Even at the counter, there's a huge tin can of tea leaves. Tea everywhere!

I ended up getting a couple of things. Can you guess what's in the bag?

A filter, a tin can, and Hypnosis Tea leaves.

The reusable tea filter is around P200/$5.

Hypnosis Tea (50 grams) costs P525/$14.

The tin can is around P935/$24. According to Niño, I can store tea leaves inside for around 3 years. Found the label thing cute.

I can't wait to go back to TWG and buy other tea variants and also try their tea-infused food. T and I will most probably drop by again really soon!

  1. Looks amazing! I just recently (within the last 3 years) really began liking tea...the BF loves it...going to check out the website right now!

  2. i was able to try their tea ice cream and they were to die for! i thought it was a weird combination (ice cream + any tea flavor) but it was really good!

  3. Joei try their macarons! My cousins and I had some last weekend, and they are soooo good. My fave so far is the lemon. The rose and black currant ones are good too. Can't wait to try all the other flavors!

  4. MRS P CUYUGAN. I wanted to when we were there but I'm on a no sugar lifestyle change (although I break it once in a while). Will probably have my cheat day there soon ;)
