Melo's: Home of the Certified Angus Beef and Authentic Wagyu Beef.

Yesterday was a really long day for me and T. So when he sent me a text message saying that he wanted to eat really good steak, I knew exactly where to go.. Melo's.

We've been to a lot of steak places in other areas (some I got to blog about) but for some reason, T and I have not gone to Melo's when in fact, it's the one closest to us.

"In 1987 Carmelo Santiago established Melo’s, the first restaurant in the Philippines to offer Certified Angus Beef, his personal favorite. Twenty years later, Melo’s is now known as one of the best places to savor authentic Wagyu beef, a delicacy that is all the rage in today’s global culinary scene."

After leading us to our table, our server showed us their specials.

For starters, we got the Smoked Salmon (P440/$10) served with dill sauce and capers. T and I want to try the Truffle Bone Marrow next time.

Both of our orders came with their soup of the day --- Garlic Soup.

T ordered one of the specials Ribeye Wagyu (Grade 6) (P2,300/$60) with creamy truffle pasta. His order came with a salad but I wasn't able to take a photo of it. That's T and his hungry face ;)
"Wagyu has grades ranging from 1-10 according to it's marbling. Grade 1 being the lowest and grade 10 being the highest."

I got the 8oz Tenderloin Steak (P1,990/$50) which came with mashed potatoes and buttered vegetables.

Oops! I was almost done with my steak when I remembered that I didn't have a photo of it!

Thumbs Up
One of the best steaks we've had!
Really good service.

Thumbs Down
Nothing really.

We will definitely be back!
