Old Swiss Inn

First post written on the spot. Still in the restaurant with T, waiting for the food to go down. Hurray for the powers of technology :)

I first discovered Old Swiss Inn while looking for a place where I could study and eat at the same time.






The place isn't really conducive to learning, as you can see, but I needed to go somewhere that's open until the wee hours of the morning.






Earlier this afternoon, T asked me if I wanted to have fondue. I immediately said yes because I've been craving for cheese lately (and eating Manchego everyday for breakfast ;))

We started with a basket of rolls and the Classic Caesar Salad topped with bacon or for a healthier alternative, with grilled chicken (P240/$6). We chose the healthier alternative ;)












Then our Waatlander Fondue (P715/$20) arrived! The classic Swiss cheese fondue: bread cubes dipped in melted Gruyere and Emmenthal cheese. Laced with Kirsch for that extra kick!











We also ordered the Shrimp and Bacon Pasta, spaghetti noodles tossed in olive oil and basil, with bacon and shrimp, a pinch of chili and tomato concassé (P285/$8 half and P550/$14 whole).





T ordered the Swiss Style Cheeseburger (P340/$8). I wasn't able to taste it but T said it was good.






Aside from the cheese fondue, another best-seller is their chocolate fondue. A must try!
