continued from part 1...
It seems like the 90's was only yesterday and yet it's already actively making a comeback! Movie remakes and TV shows are suddenly resurfacing. Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place, anyone? I also noticed trends short of being called faux pas (shoulder pads?!) appearing in runways again. Imagine my surprise finding a toy which I thought didn't exist anymore. Remember the Wacky Worm?

The Wacky Worm is a toy slash magic trick wherein a fuzzy worm appears to be following your every beck and call. To understand more, watch this video.
The secret of the Wacky Worm lies behind a 12 inch invisible string tied around the nose of the toy. Clever, huh? I remember my sister and I buying all colors! I think my first one was either pink or green.
T was tempted to buy one since it was the first time he'd heard of i. |
For those in the Philippines, the toy is being sold at P100/$2 at a store named Clippers. For those abroad, I've done a search and found it in Amazon and a site called Mr. Fuzzy (though this site sells it $6.. Expensiv-o!). Ah, it feels good to be a kid during the 90's. The memories!
How about you.. What was your favorite 90's toy?

my favorite was the troll! I collected so many until I realized that they're really not that cute! In fact, they scared me so I threw all of my trolls away. =)

Hi Joei! Yup, back to blogging and commenting too.
ReplyDeletemommy judy. glad to have you back! :)
ReplyDeleteso nice to be with wacky the worm again, hehe. My mom and dad bought me one when i was a kid during the 90's. unfortunately i wasn't that much into magic yet that's why my wacky got lost among the bunch of my toys. Now that i'm back into magic again, i am looking forward in meeting a group of wacky worms out there, hehe, and hopefully buy two or more of it. Good work for Anders Barris for bringing back the wacky magic alive. -ian silverio (09163589209) stay magical...
